Leadership Team
From the Amazing Parish model, a Parish Leadership Team (PLT) is a small group of key individuals who assist the pastor in leading the parish. The group is meeting weekly to pray and share the burden of day-to-day leadership. The team is meant to be an "inner circle" that drives a, culture of discipleship, moving the parish forward through, strategic planning and, shared leadership.
The Parish Leadership Team of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish is a five-member executive team that meets weekly to support the ongoing life and mission of the parish. Working in close collaboration with the pastor, the Team helps bring together the work of the Parish Pastoral Council, Parish Finance Council, Parish Stewardship Committee, and parish staff in a spirit of unity, accountability, and shared mission.
Our Purpose
The Parish Leadership Team exists to ensure that the vision, priorities, and recommendations of the parish’s leadership bodies are prayerfully reviewed, coordinated, and put into action. By meeting regularly, the Team provides continuity, helps maintain clear communication, and supports the effective implementation of parish decisions and initiatives.
Unlike a Pastoral Council (similar to a Board of Directors), the PLT acts as a team of "executives" who make and execute decisions. They share the responsibility of the parish's success with the pastor, helping to lift the burden of leadership.
What We Do
The Parish Leadership Team works to:
They concentrate on the most important, high-level priorities and the overall health of the parish, rather than getting caught in, minor details.
A Spirit of Collaboration
The Parish Leadership Team reflects the Catholic understanding that leadership is a shared service grounded in prayer, discernment, and communion. Rather than working in isolation, the Team helps unify the efforts of parish councils, committees, and staff so that all may work together more effectively for the good of the parish community.
Serving the Mission
Through careful listening, faithful stewardship, and practical coordination, the Parish Leadership Team helps Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish remain focused on its mission of worship, formation, service, and evangelization. The Team’s work supports a parish life that is organized, responsive, and rooted in the Gospel.
Members are trusted advisors, team-oriented, and capable of vulnerability and consistent, weekly communication with the pastor.
Working Together for a Vibrant Parish
By transforming guidance into action, the Parish Leadership Team plays a vital role in strengthening parish life and fostering a healthy, collaborative environment. Its weekly work helps ensure that the parish continues to grow in faith, unity, and service to all who come through its doors.
