Altar SErver
Altar servers assist the priest and deacon during Holy Mass and other liturgical celebrations. Their service helps ensure that the liturgy is celebrated with reverence, order, and a spirit of prayer.
At Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, we invite children and young people to consider this beautiful ministry of service.
Why serve as an altar server?
Being an altar server is much more than simply helping during Mass. It is an opportunity to serve God and the parish community, learn more about the liturgy, grow in responsibility, and deepen one’s personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Serving at the altar is both a privilege and a responsibility. Through their reverence and attentiveness, altar servers also help the entire community participate more fully in the celebration of the Eucharist.
We warmly invite parents of children in Third Grade or higher who may feel called to serve at the altar to encourage them to become part of the Altar Server Ministry at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish. This is a beautiful opportunity for young people to grow in faith, responsibility, and love for the Eucharist while serving our parish community.

Eucharistic Minister
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion assist the priest and deacon in distributing the Body and Blood of Christ during Mass and, when properly commissioned, may also bring Holy Communion to the sick and homebound.
This ministry is a sacred service that calls for reverence, faith, humility, and a deep love for the Eucharist. Those who serve should be practicing Catholics in good standing, have received the Sacraments of Initiation, and be willing to complete the required parish training and formation.
At Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, we invite eligible parishioners who feel called to serve Jesus and His people in this special way to prayerfully consider joining this beautiful Eucharistic ministry by connecting with the parish office.

Lector
Lectors serve the Church by proclaiming the Word of God during the celebration of the Mass and other liturgical services. At Mass, they normally proclaim the First or Second Reading from Sacred Scripture, while the Gospel is proclaimed by a deacon or priest.
The ministry of lector is much more than simply reading aloud. The lector is entrusted with helping the assembly hear, receive, and reflect upon God’s Word. Through careful preparation, clear proclamation, reverence, and prayer, lectors help make Sacred Scripture come alive for the worshiping community.
At Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, we value this important ministry and encourage eligible parishioners who have a love for Scripture, a willingness to prepare prayerfully, and the ability to proclaim clearly to consider serving as lectors. Those interested are invited to contact the parish office for information about formation, training and being scheduled.

Ushers
Ushers serve the Church by welcoming parishioners and visitors and helping create an atmosphere of hospitality, reverence, order, and prayer during the celebration of the Mass.
At Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, ushers assist with seating, help parishioners with special needs, guide the assembly during Communion and other parts of the liturgy, assist with collections, distribute materials when needed, and respond attentively to situations that arise during the celebration.
This beautiful ministry is often the first expression of welcome a person receives when entering the church. Through kindness, attentiveness, and a spirit of service, ushers help every person feel respected and cared for.
We invite parishioners who are dependable, welcoming, and willing to serve the community to consider becoming part of the Usher Ministry at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish.
