Welcome

The church begins the new liturgical year with the First Sunday of Advent, this year it is on the 1st of December. We are all especially busy during the season of Advent, but I pray you, your family and friends will make time to prepare yourself in this season of Advent for the coming Christmas and worship at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish.

"Jesus is the Reason for the Season".  Advent is a time of waiting, not just for Christmas but for the miracle of God being born among us constantly, in our celebration of the Sacraments and who continue to reveal himself in the word of God.

As you shop, bake, wrap packages, or whatever is a part of your Christmas tradition, I hope that you will pause from time to time and ponder that wondrous fact: God is with us! If Christ isn’t at the heart of our celebrations, we are missing out on a lot!

Christ is the true gift of Christmas, not the expensive gifts that call for time and money. We can communicate the joy of His presence simply: with a smile, a kind gesture, a little help, forgiveness. And the joy we give will certainly come back to us.  Let us pray that this presence of the liberating joy of God shines forth in our lives as prepare in this season of Advent for the Great celebration of Christmas.

Whether you live near or far, as we continue with our Advent journey, I hope that Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish can be part of your spiritual journey!

Welcome to Our Lady of Guadalupe
and wish you all a Blessed Season of Advent
