Our Lady of Guadalupe St. Vincent de Paul SocietyContact SVDP: 510-347-8877 or [email protected]St. Vincent de Paul (SVDP) is a Catholic lay organization that helps the poor and those in temporary need in more than 150 countries around the world. We are a person-to-person ministry whose members see the face of Christ in the faces of those who are suffering. We are called Vincentians.
Our local SVDP conference, here at Our Lady of Guadalupe parish, gives out food from our pantry, to our neighbors in need, on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month from 1pm – 2pm at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish Center, 40382 Fremont Blvd. In addition, with the help of our parishioners who donate to SVDP, we are able to provide limited assistance to those in need of help to pay a bill, such as utilities or rent. Parishioners can assist SVDP by donating non-perishable/non-expired foods in the basket located at the side entrance to church or by contributing to the Mass collections designated for SVDP. Parishioners interested in being a part of this ministry, are encouraged to contact SVDP for more information. Our members are able to participate in many areas. Click below button for the list. |
